Married woman, 49, pleads guilty to using love scams, other ruses to cheat 10 victims of S$880,000

SINGAPORE — Three men separately thought that they had found the love of their life in Joceyln Kwek Sok Koon. Instead, two later found their bank accounts emptied and one was cheated his family of their savings after falling for her.

  • A 49-year-old woman has admitted to cheating 10 victims of more than S$880,000 through various lies
  • Joceyln Kwek Sok Koon used love scams to cheat two men
  • She also conspired with another man with whom she was in a relationship to cheat his family, among other things
  • She pleaded guilty to a string of charges and the prosecution called for a sentence of between 91 months to 100 months' jail
  • Kwek, described as “a seasoned and skilled manipulator”, will be back in court on Oct 31 for sentencing
