01:48 Min
Remote working, which has gained traction during the COVID-19 pandemic, presents opportunities and challenges for Singapore, said MP Yip Hon Weng in Parliament on Tuesday (Mar 2). He asked how the Ministry of Manpower will help Singaporeans seize opportunities to work remotely for foreign markets, while minimising an outflow of jobs as a result of this development. He also called for action to transform blue-collar sectors, along with mindsets, so that Singapore will always have a pool of local talent to rely on for those essential services.
